Moon-Su SHIN

Professor Emeritus of American Literature, Seoul National University. After graduating from Seoul National University (SNU)’s Department of English Education and Graduate School of English, he completed his Master’s at UC Berkeley before receiving a PhD in English literature from the University of Hawaii. He then worked as a professor at Dankook University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies before teaching American literature at SNU’s Department of English Education, and became an honorary professor at SNU upon retirement. He has served as the chair of the English Language and Literature Association of Korea (2011), the Korean Association of Literature and the Environment (2006) and the Korean Society for Teaching English Literature (2005-2007).

Hyo-Hwan KWAK

Poet, President of the Literature Translation Institute of Korea, Doctor of Literature at Korea University’s Graduate School Begin his writing careeer by releasing five poems in addition to Cat in the Mural 3 in the Segye Ilbo in 1995 and Suraksan Mountain in Sipyeong in 2002. Kwak has won the Korea University New Writer’s Award, Aeji Literary Award, Pyeongun Literary Award, Yusim Works Award and Kim Dal Jin Literary Award. His authored books, Poetry anthologies and Compilations include The Indio Woman, The House Not Found on a Map, The Frame of Sorrow andYou Are, The Northern Consciousness in Modern Korean Poetry and You Came Too Deep Into My Heart and A Starry Night – Commemorative Poetry & Picture Collection on 100th Anniversary of Yun Dong-ju’s Birth

David Carruth

A native of Arkansas, David Carruth has been living in and learning about Korea since 2006. His bachelor’s degree in English literature has come in handy both as production editor for 10 Magazine and in his current career as a Korean-English translator. His main areas of translation are literature, news, travel, and culture.

Krys Lee

Krys Lee is the author of the story collection Drifting House and the novel How I Became a North Korean, and the translator of I Hear Your Voice and Diary of a Murderer: And Other Stories by KIM Young-ha. She received the Rome Prize in Literature, the Story Prize Spotlight Award, and the Honor Title in Adult Fiction Literature from the Asian/Pacific American Libraries Association, was a Granta New Voices writer, as well as a finalist for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and the BBC National Story Award. She is currently associate professor of creative writing at Yonsei University, Underwood International College in Seoul, South Korea.
